The Melrose High School String Orchestra and director Luke Miller traveled to Foxborough on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 to participate in the Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association Concert Festival. The Orchestra opened with Lion City by Soon Hee Newbold, followed by Andante Festivo by Jean Sibelius, and ended their performance with an uplifting version of Hoedown by Aaron Copland. Directly after, adjudicator Jonathan Lam led the orchestra in a workshop. At the awards ceremony, Anna Kahler and Alessia Pari-Di-Monrovia accepted the silver for the orchestra. Congratulations!
