The Youth Orchestra is open to all Melrose Public School students who have been playing a string instrument for at least one year. The Youth Orchestra provides an exciting opportunity for students to learn to play their instruments with others and experience the music of a large ensemble. The Youth Orchestra rehearses from 3:00 – 4:00 in the MVMMS Orchestra Room (E108) every Tuesday that school is in session, starting November 19th. If your child would like to participate, but doesn’t have a ride, please contact Mr. Miller to connect with other families from your school who may be able to help with carpooling.

The Youth Orchestra performs twice at the end of the year. The first performance will take place at the Spring Orchestra Concert on Wednesday, May 20th, in the MVMMS Auditorium. The other performance is our annual Youth Orchestra Tour Day, when the Youth Orchestra performs at multiple Melrose elementary schools during the school day (date TBA).
