Concerts are a chance to share what has been learned in class with friends, family, and community. 

Spring Concert

The Spring concert features performances by both the orchestra and band with performances by the Youth Orchestra, MVMMS Orchestra, MHS String Orchestra and MHS Symphony Orchestra.

Winter Concerts

There are two separate Winter Concerts. The MHS Orchestra and MHS Chorus join together for their winter concert while the MVMMS Orchestra and MVMMS Band present a combined winter concert.

Celebrate the Arts

The annual “Celebrate the Arts!” evening reception features musical performances by various MHS performing arts groups. The night showcases student artworks on display in the Citywide Art Show.

MICCA Festival

The Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Concert Festival is a prestigious festival involving bands and orchestras from all around the state of Massachusetts. Following their performance, the MHS Orchestra receives feedback and evaluation from three adjudicators. Adjudicators are often college professors or other professional musicians. Students perform and participate in a workshop given by one of their adjudicators.
