Orchestra events are an opportunity for orchestra students and their families to socialize with other orchestra students and their families. Events are planned for after school and include the end of year banquet for MHS Orchestra students and the annual Ice Cream social.
Ice Cream Social
Every Fall the Melrose Orchestrators host the annual Orchestra Ice Cream Social in the MVMMS Orchestra Room. This event is a great chance for students and parents to meet and socialize with other orchestra families, while hearing more about the great opportunities that the MHS Orchestra Program has to offer. Current MHS Orchestra parents are available to talk and answer questions, MHS Orchestra students perform throughout the evening… and of course – ice cream! It is a great time for any parents interested in volunteering their time to help with the Melrose Orchestrator Parent Organization to learn how to get involved.
End of Year Banquet
Members of the MHS Orchestra, their parents, and siblings are invited to take part in an end of year banquet in May of each school year. The banquet is a celebration of all the hard work the students have put in, and the growth they have made as individuals and as an ensemble. Seniors are honored, and wished well as they prepare for their final MHS Concert and for graduation.
