The Orchestra program uses fundraisers to help lower the costs for trips, fund events and pay for instrument repair and replacement.
In March of 2021, the Melrose High School Orchestra held its first Savers fundraiser. Participants dropped off lightly used clothing to Melrose High School and the items were then shipped to Savers for redistribution. Everyone always has some items to give away and we plan to do this again in 2022!
The Melrose High School Orchestra typically schedules a few restaurant fundraisers throughout the year. Check back to see if they are any planned that you’d like to attend.
Annual Mattress Fundraiser
In previous years, the Melrose High School Orchestra Program hosted its Annual Mattress Fundraiser Sale. This was the primary fundraiser for the orchestra program.
Over 20 mattresses were set up on display in all sizes in the MVMMS Cafeteria. These were all quality name brand mattresses such as Simmons Beautyrest. Savings to the community are up to 50% off retail. Hopefully, we can resume this fundraiser in the near future.
